MSVT Trackday Trophy
Trackday Trophy is a well-subscribed series that is all about having fun with other like-minded novice racers!
As the in-house track day division for MotorSport Vision, MSVT is regularly asked by their track day drivers how to go racing. Conventionally there have been several hurdles into the sport, so in 2010 MSVT decided to start Trackday Trophy to make the transition as easy as possible, with help and support offered along the way.
Cars must be fully compliant with Motorsport UK regulations (roll cage, fire extinguisher and cut off switches) but the regulations for the series are reasonably relaxed, so that drivers who have already developed cars for track days without having to follow any rules will still be eligible.
Races are designed for teams of two drivers so that the costs of running the car can be shared, together with the excitement! Classes are determined on a power-to-weight ratio with 45-minute races (which include a pit stop for driver changes) preceded by a 25-minute qualifying session. Both of which will take place on one day to reduce overnight costs.
An exciting seven-round calendar is in place for the 2025 season, with visits to all three of Britain's Grand Prix circuits included! Two picturesque park circuits in Oulton Park and Cadwell Park are amongst the circuit lineup, with the technical Snetterton 300 and iconic Brands Hatch Indy also featuring.
